• THE NICOLE VAN HORN TRUST FUND, INC.
FOR THE BENEFIT OF JOHNS HOPKINS PEDIATRIC CANCER CENTER

Nicole Van Horn was just 11 years old in 1993 when she was diagnosed with cancer on her spine. After undergoing 28 surgeries in a 3-year period, she endured paralysis and unthinkable pain. Her battle with cancer ended at the tender age of 14 in August 1997. Nikki’s greatest gift was that she knew the power in giving to others. When finally told that she would not survive her recurrence of cancer, she turned to her family and said, “No more tears, they won’t help.” Nicole preferred to spend her last days with the people she loved the most, helping them through this transition that she had already accepted with grace.
